At NewData, hiring a data professional through secondment costs between € 60 and € 70 per hour excluding VAT, depending on the total number of hours of the assignment (scale of August 2026). For urgent work the rate is € 80 per hour excluding VAT. In the market, an experienced specialist often costs more than € 120 per hour excluding VAT and a starter at large firms usually around € 90 per hour excluding VAT (market picture, August 2026). NewData's rates are starting prices: your own remuneration scheme sets the wage, and the wage sets the rate.

How does the scale work?
All amounts excluding VAT, rates of 12 August 2026. You choose the length of the assignment upfront and that sets the rate. If the agreed hours are not reached, a closing invoice follows. If more hours are worked, no different rate applies.

How is the rate set?
You choose the length of the assignment upfront and that sets the rate. If the agreed hours are not reached, a closing invoice follows. If more hours are worked, no different rate applies. The chosen rate applies to the whole assignment, including the first hours (scale of August 2026).
That makes it worthwhile to estimate the size of the assignment honestly upfront: the chosen length sets the bracket.
