This statement says per processing which data NewData processes, why, on which legal basis and for how long. There are two processings and they rest on three bases (recorded on 14 August 2026).

The site itself sets no cookies and loads nothing from third parties; you can read that on the cookie page. Forms, such as the registration form, ask no more data than needed.

Processing 1

The mediation itself.

Someone sends their details because they want to be helped to work. The purpose of this processing is helping the person to an assignment or a job.

The legal basis is article 6(1)(b) GDPR: steps towards entering into a contract, taken at the request of the person themselves. No separate consent is needed for that.

The data is kept as long as the mediation runs.

Processing 2

Staying in the file afterwards.

After the mediation, NewData only keeps data to be able to approach someone again later. The purpose is being able to approach the person for a next fitting assignment.

The legal basis is article 6(1)(a) GDPR: consent. That consent is asked with a separate checkbox that is off by default, that is not a condition for being helped and that stands apart from any other checkbox. The retention period runs until 24 months after the mediation ends.

We keep your data until 24 months after the mediation ends, so we can approach you when something comes along that fits you. We only do that if you have given consent for it.

If you no longer want that, you can have your data anonymised at any moment through the portal or by emailing info@newdata.nl. No reason needs to be given.

Processing 3

A heads-up at the reveal, and our relations list afterwards.

Anyone who leaves an email address in the teaser on the home page receives a message on 16 September 2026 about the new name. After that the address stays in our own relations list, for the occasional message about an offer or an invitation. No daily email, and nothing is asked for beyond the address itself.

The basis is article 6(1)(a) GDPR: consent, given by entering the address. The address arrives on our own server and does not go to a newsletter service or any other party. Leaving is always possible with one email to info@newdata.nl; the address is then deleted.

What does anonymising mean at NewData?

Anonymising means the data is altered so it can no longer be traced to a person. That is irreversible: no key remains with which it can be undone.

Withdrawing is always possible, in two ways: through the portal, app.newdatasystem.nl, or by email to info@newdata.nl.

Your rights

Which other rights do you have over your data?

Besides anonymising you have all rights under the GDPR: access to your data, rectification, erasure, objection to a processing, restriction of a processing and portability of your data.

You send a request to info@newdata.nl or make it through the portal. You receive an answer within four weeks.

If you are not satisfied with how NewData handles your data, you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
