Custom software

Custom software that follows your process.

Custom software is software that follows your process instead of the other way round: a tool that does exactly what your organisation needs, where a standard package forces you into its mould.

You get a working application with source code, documentation and handover. NewData does not sell software subscriptions: the aim is always that what is built is yours.

A one-off build runs through NewData Squad, on quotation. For further development in-house you hire a developer through NewData Student or recruit one permanently through NewData Search.

NewData

Custom software being built at the office

The problem

Do you recognise this?

The standard package forces the work into its mould: half of the buttons are unnecessary and the one screen you really need is missing.

The process is held together by detours: exporting, retyping, mailing back, and nobody knows which version is the right one.

Every wish waits for the vendor’s release calendar, and every extra user costs a licence.

And switching is impossible, because the data is locked in the package.

The solution

How do we solve this?

NewData starts with the process: what the software has to do, who works with it and which systems have to connect. The software follows your process, not the other way round; that is the whole point of custom software.

It is built in steps, so you see what is taking shape and can adjust along the way. No months of silence followed by a delivery, but working parts that can join the daily work right away.

You get a working application with source code, documentation and handover, built with modern techniques and with AI inside where it saves work.

What NewData builds at your organisation stays yours. Scripts, definitions and documentation come along, and NewData builds nothing that keeps you dependent, not even on NewData itself. If you take an existing NewData product, it works the other way round: that stays NewData’s, and you pay for use and maintenance. Which of the two applies in your case is on paper before the work starts.

From our own work

Where did we do this before?

For a driving school NewData is building custom software that supports its candidates digitally; an ongoing project.

NewData builds this way for itself: an own business system in which ERP, ATS, CRM and separate tools come together, with AI inside. How that system is put together is described openly on the page about our own business system.

For DoubleSmart, NewData built a working module in which customer data and AI signal marketing bottlenecks and translate them into usable advice.

The price

What does it cost?

If an experienced specialist builds the software as a one-off, you receive a quotation. If you hire a developer, the scale applies: from 70 euros per hour excluding VAT, going down to 60 euros for larger assignments (scale of August 2026). These are starting prices: your own remuneration scheme sets the wage, and the wage sets the rate. You choose the length of the assignment upfront and that sets the bracket. What it comes to at your organisation, we calculate for you before you sign anything.

Within two working days you receive a first response to your vacancy (lead time of August 2026).

The route

Which route fits?

One-off work runs through NewData Squad, on quotation (August 2026). Long-term work runs through NewData Student with the scale, or through NewData Search, from 650 euros per month excluding VAT (August 2026). NewData tells you up front which route fits your situation.

Read what each route means: NewData Squad for one-off work by experienced specialists, NewData Student for capacity and NewData Search for permanent recruitment.

This work is done by our developers. That page explains what the role does and when you deploy it.

Questions

Frequently asked question about this product

What does custom software cost and what does it depend on?

The cost depends on the scope: what the software has to do, how many systems connect and how much is already in place. That is why NewData works with a quotation for one-off builds, so the amount is fixed up front. If you prefer to keep the pace and direction yourself, you hire a developer from 70 euros per hour excluding VAT, going down to 60 euros for larger assignments (scale of August 2026).
