Clarity
Within two working days you receive a response to your question and know where you stand. Our fastest placement started within 3 working days, including the interview.

Secondment
After finding the right profile (often within a week) the start at secondment depends on whether the candidate has a notice period. In many cases our students and starters can start immediately.

Recruitment and selection
The lead time for finding candidates in recruitment and selection depends on the position, years of experience and whether candidates are already in our system. If we have a suitable candidate in our database, a first selection can happen quickly (1-3 weeks); if we need to search actively, the lead time is somewhat longer. In both cases there is often a notice period, which often puts the actual start date at six to eight weeks from the assignment.

How do you choose between hiring, taking over and recruiting?
Hiring through secondment fits temporary work. The rate follows the hourly rate scale for secondment: the more hours the assignment holds, the lower the rate per hour, down to € 60 per hour excluding VAT from 800 hours (scale of August 2026).

Frequently asked questions from organisations
What is a normal hourly rate for hiring a data professional?+
It depends mostly on experience. In the market, an experienced specialist often costs more than € 120 per hour excluding VAT, and a starter at large firms usually around € 90 per hour excluding VAT (market picture, August 2026). At NewData, secondment starts at € 70 per hour excluding VAT, dropping to € 60 for larger assignments (rate scale of August 2026).
How quickly do I know whether someone is available and what it costs?+
Within two working days (lead time of August 2026). With secondment, someone is up and running within three to four weeks. Recruitment and selection takes six to eight weeks, depending on the candidate’s notice period.
What if the person I hire turns out not to fit?+
Then NewData brings in the next candidate. Within a DetaVast track, the hours already worked carry over to the next candidate, up to at most half of the chosen track (rule of August 2026). The new candidate therefore always works at least half of the hours personally, so you never take someone over cost-free who has not proven themselves.
