Hannover Medical School

In children with neutropenia who receive immunosuppression, for example around a liver transplant, it was insufficiently clear how age, weight and the type or dosage of immunosuppression relate to the course and the severity of neutropenia. Relevant insights were spread across several clinical data sources.

The approach

Working together

With a targeted data analysis we mapped the relations between age, weight, type and dosage of immunosuppression. These insights were linked to the course and the severity of neutropenia, both before and after transplantation.

The result

What is different now

Doctors now have clear and accessible management information.

  • Seeing relevant relations sooner and intervening in a targeted way.
  • Tuning medication choices, timing and follow-up better.
  • Doctors can spot risks of complications and readmissions earlier and weigh them in treatment.
  • Offering more personal and more effective care to young patients.

In one line

From fragmented clinical data to more targeted care for children with neutropenia.

From clinical data to more targeted care.
